My 4K graduate....

I cannot believe that my little Jacob is going to kinde in just a few months. He is so excited, I am so not ready. He learned so much this past year. He can write his name, he draws pictures of people and animals, he has learned some of the alphabet. He has always been very good verbally. We do need to work on his letters and numbers over the summer. He just isn't interested. He would rather be socializing with his pals.

Speaking of pals, he was doing tball at the Y with his pal, Nick. One day when Nick came to practice, Jacob with his arms crossed over his chest says "What's up my brotha!". The other day he was leaving Ryan's house and calls out, "See ya losers!" Where does he get this stuff.......

Mama watch this!

Noah has definitely hit that age-- Mama watch this! He shows off all his skills. I can still remember when Jacob did the same as he jumped on the bed at age 2.
Noah talks a mile a minute. He has a running commentary for everything he is doing until he gets in public, then he doesn't speak. His newest is "Mom where you are?" He has to know where I am at all times. Jacob is the same, so I rarely get a minute to myself before someone is looking for me. But to think of the alternative, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Last night Noah asked me, "Mama you my best friend?" Of course baby!!!

My nose is running away.....

Cold season is still alive and well in our house. Noah has had a runny nose for months!
Just the other day he said, "Mommy! Help! My nose is running away!"

The little things....

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
--Robert Brault

Jacob has slept in his bed, ALONE, for 4 nights in a row. He has gone to sleep without me next to him for the first time in ages. He is proud of himself, and Phil and I are so proud of him. You see, Jacob has never been a good sleeper from day one. I would rock him as a babe, and place him in this crib where he would immediately open his eyes and be wide awake. He hasn't slept through the night more than 10 times in his whole 5 years. He still crawls in bed with us on a nightly basis, until this week.
But this great accomplishment on his part brings me some sadness too. I love our time together at the end of the day. While we are lying there, he tells me about his day. He says crazy, funny things that I should write down because I always forget them when I wake up in the morning. (I usually fall asleep before he does) This accomplishment just proves that he is growing up and that is so hard for me!!
I will make sure we still have this time together and then I will get out to allow him to be the big boy he is so proud of being........
